We have explained [the truth] in this Quran in various ways, so that they may take heed, but it has only increased their aversion. 41 Say: 'If there had been other gods with Him, as they say, they would surely have sought a way to the Lord of the Throne' 42 Hallowed be He, and exalted be He above that which they say - a great height! 43 The seven heavens and the earth and whatever is in them exalt Him. And there is not a thing except that it exalts [Allah] by His praise, but you do not understand their [way of] exalting. Indeed, He is ever Forbearing and Forgiving. 44 But [thus it is:] whenever thou recitest the Qur'an, We place an invisible barrier between thee and those who will not believe in the life to come: 45 And We put covers over their hearts and deafness in their ears that they should not understand it. So when you invoke your Lord alone in the Qur'an they turn their backs and walk away. 46 We are fully aware of what they are listening for when they listen to thee: for when they are secluded among themselves, lo! these wrongdoers say [unto one another,] "If you were to follow [Muhammad, you would follow] only a man bewitched!" 47 Look how they strike for you comparisons; but they have strayed, so they cannot [find] a way. 48 And they say: "When we are bones and fragments (destroyed), should we really be resurrected (to be) a new creation?" 49 Proclaim, “Become stones or iron.” 50 ۞ Or [any] creation of that which is great within your breasts." And they will say, "Who will restore us?" Say, "He who brought you forth the first time." Then they will nod their heads toward you and say, "When is that?" Say, "Perhaps it will be soon - 51 "It will be on a Day when He will call you, and ye will answer (His call) with (words of) His praise, and ye will think that ye tarried but a little while!" 52
