(Remember) the day when We will call every people with their Imam; then whoever is given his book in his right hand, these shall read their book; and they shall not be dealt with a whit unjustly. 71 Whoso is blind here will be blind in the Hereafter, and yet further from the road. 72 (O Muhammad), they had all but tempted you away from what We have revealed to you that you may invent something else in Our Name. Had you done so, they would have taken you as their trusted friend. 73 Indeed, had We not strengthened you, you might have inclined to them a little, 74 Then had we made thee taste a double (punishment) of living and a double (punishment) of dying, then hadst thou found no helper against Us. 75 And they indeed wished to scare thee from the land that they might drive thee forth from thence, and then they would have stayed (there) but a little after thee. 76 This was Our dispensation with those whom We sent before thee of Our apostles, and thou wilt not find in this Our dispensation a change. 77
