On the day when We shall call all men with their record, and whoso is given his book in his right hand -- those shall read their book, and they shall not be wronged a single date-thread. 71 But those who were blind in this world, will be blind in the hereafter, and most astray from the Path. 72 They indeed sought to entice you away from what We revealed to you, hoping that you might invent something else in Our name; and then they would have accepted you as a close friend. 73 If We had not made you stand firm, you would almost have inclined towards them a little. 74 In that case We would have surely made thee taste the double of the tornment of the life and the double of the torment of death, and then thou wouldst not find against Us a helper. 75 They very nearly provoked you to drive you out of the land, but they would have only lingered for a little while after you. 76 Such was Our way with those whom We sent before you. You shall find no change in Our way. 77
