And says man, “When I am dead, will I soon be brought forth alive?” 66 Does man not remember that before We created him he was nothing? 67 By your Lord, We shall most surely gather them and the devils too; and bring them close to hell on their knees. 68 Then We shall pluck out from every sect whichever of them was most stubborn in rebellion to the Beneficent. 69 Moreover, We well know those who most deserve to be burned in hell. 70 and there is not one of you but shall pass through it: a decree from your Lord which must be fulfilled. 71 We shall deliver those who took heed for themselves, and leave the evil-doers kneeling there. 72 And when Our clear communications are recited to them, those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Which of the two parties is best in abiding and best in assembly? 73 We have destroyed so many generations before them, who surpassed them in material power and splendour. 74 Say thou: whosoever is in error - surely unto him the Compassionate lengtheneth a length, until when they behold that wherewith they were threatened, either the torment or the Hour, then they shall come to know whosoever is worse in position and weaker as an army. 75 And God shall increase those who were guided in guidance; and the abiding things, the deeds of righteousness, are better with thy Lord in reward, and better in return 76 Then, have you seen he who disbelieved in Our verses and said, "I will surely be given wealth and children [in the next life]?" 77 Hath he looked unto the Unseen, or hath he taken of the Compassionate a covenant? 78 Never so. We shall certainly write down what he says, and prolong the extent of his punishment. 79 All that he claims will revert to Us, and he will come before Us all alone. 80 They have sought honor from other gods instead of God. 81 But nay! [On Judgment Day] these [very objects of adoration] will disavow the worship that was paid to them, and will turn against those [who had worshipped them]! 82
