Do you not see that We have appointed devils to incite those who deny the truth to disobedience? 83 Hence, be not in haste [to call down God's punishment] upon them: for We but number the number of their days. 84 On the Day when We shall gather the Godconscious unto [Us,] the Most Gracious, as honoured guests, 85 And shall drive the culprits to Hell as a herd. 86 having no power of intercession, save those who have taken with the All-merciful covenant. 87 And the disbelievers said, “The Most Gracious has chosen an offspring.” 88 Assuredly ye utter a disastrous thing 89 The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation 90 That they attribute to the Most Merciful a son. 91 The Beneficent God is too Exalted to have a son. 92 There is no one in the heavens and the earth but he shall come to the Most Compassionate Lord as His servant. 93 He has counted them and exactly numbered all; 94 and every one of them will appear before Him on Resurrection Day in a lonely state. 95 Verily those who believe and do righteous works - anon the Compassionate shall appoint for them affection. 96 Now We have made it easy by thy tongue that thou mayest bear good tidings thereby to the godfearing, and warn a people stubborn. 97 How many generations We have destroyed before them! Can you find a single one of them alive now, or hear so much as a whisper from them? 98
