Seest thou not that We have set the Evil Ones on against the unbelievers, to incite them with fury? 83 Therefore be not in haste against them, We only number out to them a number (of days). 84 On the Day We will gather the righteous to the Most Merciful as a delegation 85 and We shall drive the sinful like a thirsty herd into Hell. 86 having no power of intercession, save those who have taken with the All-merciful covenant. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 Assuredly, you have uttered a monstrous falsehood: 89 whereat the heavens might well-nigh be rent into fragments, and the earth be split asunder, and the mountains fall down in ruins! 90 that they have attributed to the All-merciful a son; 91 When it is not meet for (the Majesty of) the Beneficent that He should choose a son. 92 All those who are in the heavens and the earth will come to the Most Gracious as His bondmen. 93 He has counted them and exactly numbered all; 94 And everyone of them will come to Him singly on the Day of Judgment. 95 The Lord of Mercy will bestow affection upon those who believe and perform righteous deeds. 96 So, [O Muhammad], We have only made Qur'an easy in the Arabic language that you may give good tidings thereby to the righteous and warn thereby a hostile people. 97 How many generations have We destroyed before them! Do you sense even one of them, or hear a whisper from them? 98
