'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 And make my mission easy. 26 And loose the knot from my tongue, 27 that they may understand my words. 28 And give to me an aider from my family: 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 To strengthen me 31 And let him share my task, 32 That we may exalt You much 33 And remember You much. 34 Surely You know us well." 35 He said: You are indeed granted your petition, O Musa 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before). 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 Saying! cast him in the ark, and cast him into the river, and the river will throw him on the bank, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him up. And I cast on thee love from Me in order that thou mayest be formed under Mine eye. 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 go forth, both of you, unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity! 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 He said; fear not; verily I shall be with you twain: I shall hear and see. 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 They replied, "Our Lord is the One Who has created all things and has given guidance". 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 He it is Who spread the earth for you; and made in it paths for you, and sent down water from the sky, and then through it We brought forth many species of diverse plants. 53 So eat yourself and pasture your cattle. Surely there are many Signs in this for people of understanding. 54
