He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 And make my mission easy. 26 And loose the knot from my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 And give to me an aider from my family: 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 And associate him (with me) in my affair, 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 "And remember Thee without stint: 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 Said He, 'Thou art granted, Moses, thy petition. 36 "And indeed, We bestowed Our favour upon thee at a time long since past, 37 When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, 38 saying: "Put him in the box and cast it into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his." I lavished My Love on you, and to be formed in My Sight. 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 and speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." 44 Both said: O our Lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he may become inordinate. 45 (The Lord) said: "Be not afraid. I am verily with you, and I hear and see. 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement shall light upon him who cries lies and turns his back." 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 [Pharaoh] said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?" 51 [Moses] answered: "Knowledge thereof rests with my Sustainer [alone, and is laid down] in His decree; my Sustainer does not err, and neither does He forget." 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
