(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 and make my task easy for me. 26 and my tongue fluent 27 so that they may understand my speech; 28 and appoint for me a helper from among my family, 29 Aaron my brother 30 Strengthen by him my back. 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 That we may sing Your praises much, 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 Surely, Thou art seeing us. 35 He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses. 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 When We inspired to your mother what We inspired, 38 "Cast him into the ark, and cast him into the river, and let the river throw him up on the shore. An enemy of Mine and his shall take him." And I loaded on thee love from Me, and to be formed in My sight, 39 Then your sister followed you, and said (to the people who had retrieved the child): 'Should I guide you to a person who can nurse him?' We thus brought you back to your mother that her heart may be cheered, and she may not grieve. (Remember) when you killed a man We saved you from anguish; and tested and steeled you (in other ways). Afterwards you sojourned for several years with the people of Midian; then you came up to the measure, 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 Go, thou and thy brother, with My tokens, and be not faint in remembrance of Me. 42 "Go, both of you, to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant). 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 (The Lord) said: "Be not afraid. I am verily with you, and I hear and see. 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal). 50 [Pharaoh] said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?" 51 Moses said: "Its knowledge is with my Lord, recorded in the Book. My Lord does not err, nor does He forget." 52 "He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky." With it have We produced diverse pairs of plants each separate from the others. 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon]. In all this, behold, there are messages indeed for those who are endowed with reason: 54
