Moses said, "My Lord! open up my heart, 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 "And appoint for me a helper from my family, 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 and associate him with me in my task. 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 Surely Thou seest into us.' 35 He said, “O Moosa, you have been granted your prayer.” 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 when We revealed what was to be made known to your mother, 38 “That, ‘Put him into a chest and cast it into the river, so the river shall deposit it on to a shore – therefore one who is an enemy to Me and you, shall pick him up’; and I bestowed upon you love from Myself; and for you to be brought up in My sight.” 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 43 And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear. 44 They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." 45 He (Allah) said: "Fear not, verily! I am with you both, hearing and seeing. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 "'Verily it has been revealed to us that the Penalty (awaits) those who reject and turn away.'" 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 Pharaoh asked, "What about the previous generations?" 51 [Musa (Moses)] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord is neither unaware nor He forgets, " 52 Who hath appointed for you the earth as a bed, and hath opened for you therein pathways, and hath sent down from the heaven water, and thereby We have brought forth kinds of plants, various. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
