Moses said, "My Lord! open up my heart, 25 "Ease my task for me; 26 and my tongue fluent 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 to support me. 31 and let him share my task, 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 And indeed, another time, already We have shown thee favour, 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 Place him in a chest and throw it into the river, and thereupon the river will cast him ashore, [and] one who is an enemy unto Me and an enemy unto him will adopt him. "And [thus early] I spread Mine Own love over thee - and [this] in order that thou might be formed under Mine eye. 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 So go forth, both you and your brother, with My Signs, and do not slacken in remembering Me. 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 (The Lord) said: "Be not afraid. I am verily with you, and I hear and see. 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 [But when God's message was conveyed unto Pharaoh,] he said: "Who, now, is this Sustainer of you two, O Moses?" 49 (Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it." 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 Musa said: the knowledge thereof is with my Lord in the Book; my Lord erreth not, nor He forgetteth. 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
