They will question you about the mountains. Say: 'My Lord will scatter them as ashes 105 "He will leave them as plains smooth and level; 106 Over which you will see no curves or elevations. 107 On that day they will follow their caller without deviation. Their voices will be low in the presence of the Beneficent God. You will hear nothing but the tread of the marching feet. 108 On that Day intercession shall not avail save of him whom the Most Compassionate Lord permits, and whose word of intercession is pleasing to Him. 109 He knows all that is ahead of them and all that is behind them, while the others do not know. 110 ۞ And downcast will be faces before the Living, the Self-subsisting, and disappointed will be he who beareth a wrong. 111 but he who does good works, being a believer, shall fear no harm nor any injustice." 112 Thus we have revealed it as a Lecture in Arabic, and have displayed therein certain threats, that peradventure they may keep from evil or that it may cause them to take heed. 113 So high exalted be God, the true King! And hasten not with the Koran ere its revelation is accomplished unto thee; and say, 'O my Lord, increase me in knowledge.' 114 AND, INDEED, long ago did We impose Our commandment on Adam; but he forgot it, and We found no firmness of purpose in him. 115
