Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were joined together as one united piece, then We parted them? And We have made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe? 30 And We have set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with them, and We have made therein broad highways (between mountains) for them to pass through: that they may receive Guidance. 31 and [that] We have set up the sky as a canopy well-secured? And yet, they stubbornly turn away from [all] the signs of this [creation,] 32 And He it is Who has created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, each in an orbit floating. 33 We have given no man everlastingness before you. So then if you die, will they live ever after? 34 Every human being is bound to taste death; and We test you [all] through the bad and the good [things of life] by way of trial: and unto Us you all must return. 35 And when the disbelievers see you, they do not appoint you except as an object of mockery; “Is he the one who speaks ill of your Gods?”; whereas they deny the remembrance of the Most Gracious Himself! 36 Man is made of haste. I shall show you My portents, but ask Me not to hasten. 37 They say, "When shall the Day of Judgment come to pass if you are true in your claim?" 38 If only the unbelievers knew of the Hour when they shall not be able to keep off the Fire from their faces, nor from their backs; nor shall they be helped. 39 Nay, it may come to them all of a sudden and confound them: no power will they have then to avert it, nor will they (then) get respite. 40 Other messengers have been mocked before you, but those who scoffed were overwhelmed by the very thing they had mocked. 41
