Proclaim, “Who guards you night and day from the Most Gracious?” In fact they have turned away from the remembrance of their Lord. 42 Or, have they gods who can defend them against Us? They shall not be able to assist themselves, nor shall they be defended from Us. 43 We gave days of enjoyment to them and their fathers until their life became long. Are they unable to see how We come to their land and reduce its borders. Or, is it they who are the victors? 44 Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I warn you only by the Inspiration. But the deaf hear not the call when they are warned. 45 If but a breath of the Wrath of thy Lord do touch them, they will then say, "Woe to us! we did wrong indeed!" 46 We shall set up scales of justice for the Day of Judgment, so that not a soul will be dealt with unjustly in the least, and if there be (no more than) the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it (to account): and enough are We to take account. 47 We gave Moses and Aaron the Criterion, and gave them a light and a Remembrance for the cautious: 48 those who fear their Lord in the unseen, also dread the Hour of Judgement. 49 And this is a blessed Message which We have sent down: will ye then reject it? 50
