The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 and restrain their carnal desires 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
