The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 Who shun all frivolities, 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; 6 But whoever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits; 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 and who guard their prayers [from all worldly intent]. 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
