The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 except with their spouses and slave-girls. The practice of carnal relations is lawful with them. 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 those who are true to their trust, 8 And those who keep a guard on their prayers; 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 We sent down water from the sky in right measure, and caused it to stay in the earth, and We have the power to cause it to vanish (in the manner We please). 18 Then through water We caused gardens of date-palms and vines to grow for you wherein you have an abundance of delicious fruits and from them you derive your livelihood. 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
