The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 and guard their private parts 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 These are the heirs 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 We have created seven heavens above you and have never been neglectful to Our Creation. 17 And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us,] and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]! 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
