O YOU APOSTLES! Partake of the good things of life, and do righteous deeds: verily, I have full knowledge of all that you do. 51 And verily! This your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me. 52 But they (who claim to follow you) have torn their unity wide asunder, piece by piece, each group delighting in [but] what they themselves possess [by way of tenets]. 53 So leave them in their error for a time. 54 Do they think that We are helping them by giving them children and property? 55 We are hastening to them of good things? Nay, they do not perceive. 56 Verily! Those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 who have full faith in the Signs of their Lord; 58 Those who join not (in worship) partners with their Lord; 59 who give what they give, with their hearts quaking, that they will return to their Lord: 60 These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race. 61 We do not lay a burden on anyone beyond his capacity. We have a Book with Us that speaks the truth (about everyone); and they shall in no wise be wronged. 62 On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing. 63 Till, when We seize with the chastisement the ones of them that live at ease, behold, they groan. 64 Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped. 65 My signs were recited to you, but upon your heels you withdrew, 66 waxing proud against it, talking foolish talk by night.' 67 Have they not pondered the saying, or came there upon them that which came not upon their fathers, the ancients? 68 Or do they not recognise their Messenger, that they deny him? 69 or you said that he is possessed by satan? In fact, he has brought you the truth, but most of you dislike it. 70 And should the truth follow their low desires, surely the heavens and the earth and all those who are therein would have perished. Nay! We have brought to them their reminder, but from their reminder they turn aside. 71 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers. 72 And indeed, you invite them to a straight path. 73 but those who disbelieve in the Everlasting Life deviate from the Path. 74 ۞ Though We had mercy on them and relieved them of the harm afflicting them, they still would wander blindly on in their contumacy. 75 And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly. 76 until, when We open against them a door of terrible chastisement, lo, they are sore confounded at it. 77
