O YOU APOSTLES! Partake of the good things of life, and do righteous deeds: verily, I have full knowledge of all that you do. 51 Verily this your order is one order, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But they cut off their religion among themselves into sects, each part rejoicing in that which is with them. 53 But leave them in their confused ignorance for a time. 54 What, do they think that We succour them with of wealth and children, 55 We are busy lavishing on them all kinds of good? Nay, they do not perceive the reality of the matter. 56 Surely those who tremble in fear of their Lord 57 who believe in the verses of their Lord; 58 And those who do not associate (aught) with their Lord, 59 And those who give what they give (in alms) while their hearts are full of fear that to their Lord they must return, 60 It is these who race for the good deeds, and they are foremost in them [e.g. offering the compulsory Salat (prayers) in their (early) stated, fixed times and so on]. 61 We do not lay a burden on anyone beyond his capacity. We have a Book with Us that speaks the truth (about everyone); and they shall in no wise be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are in perplexity as to this, and they have deeds besides that that they are doing. 63 So that when We seize the affluent among them with affliction, they will begin to implore for help. 64 (We shall say): 'Do not groan today, surely you shall receive no help from Us' 65 "My Signs used to be rehearsed to you, but ye used to turn back on your heels- 66 In pride (they Quraish pagans and polytheists of Makkah used to feel proud that they are the dwellers of Makkah sanctuary Haram), talking evil about it (the Quran) by night. 67 Have they not pondered the Word, or hath that come unto them which came not unto their fathers of old? 68 Or is it, perchance, that they have not recognized their Apostle, and so they disavow him? 69 Or say they: There is a madness in him? Nay, but he bringeth them the Truth; and most of them are haters of the Truth. 70 Were the Truth to follow their desires, the order of the heavens and the earth and those who dwell in them would have been ruined. Nay, the fact is that We have brought to them their own remembrance; and yet it is from their own remembrance that they are turning away. 71 Do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them? So the reward of your Lord is the best; and He is the Best Provider of Sustenance. 72 Indeed you are calling them to a Straight Path, 73 But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro. 75 We already seized them with the chastisement, yet they abased not themselves to their Lord nor were they humble; 76 Until when We open upon them a door of severe chastisement, lo! they are in despair at it. 77
