It is He Who has endowed you with the faculties of hearing and sight and has given you hearts (to think). Scarcely do you give thanks. 78 It is He who multiplied you on the earth, and it will be before Him that you will be gathered. 79 And it is He who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of the night and the day. Then will you not reason? 80 Nay, but they say the like of what their predecessors of yore had said. 81 "When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be raised up again? 82 We were already promised this, we and our forefathers. Lo! this is naught but fables of the men of old. 83 Say, [O Muhammad], "To whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it, if you should know?" 84 [And they will reply: "Unto God." Say: "Will you not, then, bethink yourselves [of Him]?" 85 Say, "Who is Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Great Throne?" 86 They will say, "(They belong) to Allah." Say: "Will ye not then be filled with awe?" 87 Say: 'In whose hand is the dominion of everything, protecting and Himself unprotected, if you have knowledge?' 88 Thereupon they will say, “Such greatness is only that of Allah”; say, “Then by what magic are you deceived?” 89 Nay, but We brought them the truth and they are truly liars. 90 Never did Allah take unto Himself any son, nor is there any god other than He. (Had there been any other gods) each god would have taken his creatures away with him, and each would have rushed to overpower the other. Glory be to Allah from all that they characterize Him with! 91 who has knowledge of the Unseen and the Visible; high exalted be He, above that they associate! 92
