Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 "My Lord! Then (save me from Your Punishment), and put me not amongst the people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing)." 94 We certainly have the power to show you what they have been warned about. 95 Repel, by [means of] what is best, [their] evil. We are most knowing of what they describe. 96 And say: "O my Sustainer! I seek refuge with Thee from the promptings of all evil impulses; 97 I seek refuge in You lest they come to me." 98 (They shall persist in their deeds) until when death comes to anyone of them he will say: "My Lord, send me back to the world 99 so that I may do good works in the world I have left behind." Never! It is indeed but a meaningless word that he utters. A barrier shall stand behind such people till the Day they are raised up again. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! 101 Then he whose balances shall be heavy - these! they are the blissful ones. 102 But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide. 103 the fire will scorch their faces, and they will abide therein with their lips distorted in pain. 104 (They will be told), "Were Our revelations not recited to you and did you not call them lies?" 105 They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk. 106 Get us out of this, O Lord. If we transgress we will surely be sinful." 107 Allah will say, “Remain rebuked in it, and do not speak to Me.” 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 but you made them a target of your derision to the point where it made you forget all remembrance of Me; and you went on and on laughing at them. 110 Now today I have recompensed them for their patient endurance; they are the triumphant.' 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will say: "A day or less than a day. Ask the enumerators of numbers." 113 He will say, “You stayed but only a little, if you knew.” 114 So do you think that We have created you needlessly, and that you do not have to return to Us? 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King; no god is there but He, the Lord of the honorable dominion. 116 One who worships things besides God has no proof of the authority of such things. God is certainly keeping the record of his deeds. The unbelievers will not have everlasting happiness. 117 Say, "Lord, forgive us and have mercy. You are the best of those who show mercy." 118
