Say thou; my Lord! if Thou wilt shew me that wherewith they are threatened. 93 exclude me from the unjust people". 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best Aware of that which they allege. 96 And say thou: my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee against the whisperings of the satans. 97 And I seek refuge in Thee, my Lord, lest they be present with me, 98 Until, when death comes to one of them he says: 'My Lord, let me go back, 99 so that I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]!" Nay, it is indeed but a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] there is a barrier [of death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead! 100 And then no sooner the Trumpet is blown than there will remain no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask one another. 101 Therefore the ones whose scales prove heavy – they are the successful. 102 and those whose scales are light, those will be the ones who will have courted loss. They will abide in Hell. 103 The fire will scorch their faces and they will be groaning therein in pain. 104 (We shall say): 'Were My verses not recited to you, and did you not belie them' 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our misfortune prevailed over us. We were indeed an erring people. 106 Lord, take us out of this and if we sin again, we shall certainly be unjust". 107 He will say: "Remain condemned in it, and do not speak to Me. 108 Surely there was a party of My servants who said: O our Lord! we believe, so do Thou forgive us and have mercy on us, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 109 But you ridiculed them. So much so that out of (spite) for them you forgot to remember Me and laughed at them. 110 Verily I have recompensed them today, for they bore patiently, verily they are the achievers. 111 He will say: how long tarried ye on the earth in number of year? 112 They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate." 113 He will say: You did tarry but a little-- had you but known (it): 114 Deemed ye then that We had created you for naught, and that ye would not be returned unto Us? 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King! there is no god but he, Lord of the Throne honoured. 116 And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed. 117 (Muhammad), say, "Lord, forgive me and grant me mercy; You are the best of the Merciful Ones. 118
