Say: "O Lord, if I am made to see what has been promised them, 93 My Lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk. 94 And verily We are Able to show thee that which We have promised them. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best Aware of that which they allege. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I take refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Satans, 97 “And my Lord, (I seek) Your refuge from their coming to me.” 98 When death approaches one of the unbelievers, he says, "Lord, send me back again 99 so that I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]!" Nay, it is indeed but a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] there is a barrier [of death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead! 100 So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. 101 Therefore the ones whose scales prove heavy they are the successful. 102 And as for him whose good deeds are light, these are they who shall have lost their souls, abiding in hell 103 The fire will scorch their faces and they will be groaning therein in pain. 104 (It will be said): Were not My revelations recited unto you, and then ye used to deny them? 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people. 106 Our Lord, bring us forth out of it! Then, if we revert, we shall be evildoers indeed.' 107 He shall say: slink away there unto, and speak not unto Me. 108 There was a section among My creatures that said: 'O Lord, we believe. Forgive us and have mercy upon us, for You are the best of the merciful.' 109 But you took them for a laughingstock, so much so that they made you forget My Remembrance while you used to laugh at them! 110 I have rewarded them this day for they were constant, and they have come to attainment." 111 [And] He will ask [the doomed]: "What number of years have you spent on earth?" 112 They will say: "A day or less than a day. Ask the enumerators of numbers." 113 He shall say, 'You have tarried but a little, did you know. 114 "Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! 116 He who crieth unto any other god along with Allah hath no proof thereof. His reckoning is only with his Lord. Lo! disbelievers will not be successful. 117 And say, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful." 118
