Say, "Lord, if you will afflict them with punishment, 93 "My Lord! Then (save me from Your Punishment), and put me not amongst the people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing)." 94 We have the Power to strike them with torment before your very eyes. 95 Repel evil by what is best; We know best what they describe. 96 Say, "Lord, I seek your protection against the strong temptations of the devils. 97 I seek refuge with You, Lord, lest they should come near me." 98 When death comes to any of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 That I may work righteously in that which I have left. By no means! It is but a word he uttereth; and before them is a barrier until the Day when they shall be raised. 100 And then no sooner the Trumpet is blown than there will remain no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask one another. 101 If the side of ones good deeds weighs heavier on a scale, he will have everlasting happiness, 102 And as for him whose good deeds are light, these are they who shall have lost their souls, abiding in hell 103 The Fire will scorch their faces and they will abide therein with their faces distorted. 104 "Were not My messages read out to you? But you denied them." 105 They will say: "O Lord, our misery overwhelmed us, so we remained a people astray. 106 Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers." 107 He will say, "Be quiet and say nothing." 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 Today I shall recompense them for their patience, for it is they that have won. 111 He will say: "What number of years did ye stay on earth?" 112 They will reply. "We remained for about a day or part of it, but ask those who have kept count". 113 He will say: "You stayed only for a while, if you only knew that. 114 Do you think We created you for nothing, and that you will not return to Us?" 115 Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! 116 He, who invokes another deity along with God, a deity of whose divinity he has no proof, will be brought to account by his Lord. Certainly, those who deny the truth shall never prosper. 117 And, [O Muhammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful." 118
