Say: 'Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 My Lord, then do not place me among the wrongdoing people." 94 And most surely We are well able to make you see what We threaten them with. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is fairer. We Ourselves know very well that they describe. 96 And say: "My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the whisperings (suggestions) of the Shayatin (devils). 97 and I seek refuge with Thee, O my Sustainer, lest they come near unto me!" 98 Until when death overtakes one of them, he says: Send me back, my Lord, send me back; 99 haply I shall do righteousness in that I forsook.' Nay, it is but a word he speaks; and there; behind them, is a barrier until the day that they shall be raised up. 100 And then no sooner the Trumpet is blown than there will remain no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask one another. 101 Then, those whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy, - these, they are the successful. 102 And he whose balances shall be light - these are they who have lost themselves; in Hell they are abiders. 103 Their faces will be scorched by flames, and they will grin and scowl within it. 104 Were not My messages recited to you and did you not reject them? 105 They shall say: O our Lord! our adversity overcame us and we were an erring people: 106 Lord, take us out of this and if we sin again, we shall certainly be unjust". 107 He will say: 'Slink there in it and do not speak to Me' 108 There is a party of My servants who said, "Our Lord, we believe; therefore forgive us, and have mercy on us, for Thou art the best of the merciful." 109 But you made a laughing stock of them to the point where it made you forget My remembrance; and you went on laughing at them. 110 Verily I have recompensed them today, for they bore patiently, verily they are the achievers. 111 And He will ask: 'How many years did you live on earth' 112 They will say: "We stayed for a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count of this." 113 He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known. 114 Did you, then, think that We created you in mere idle play, and that you would not have to return to Us?" 115 Then high exalted be God, the King, the True! There is no god but He? the Lord of the noble Throne. 116 He, who invokes another deity along with God, a deity of whose divinity he has no proof, will be brought to account by his Lord. Certainly, those who deny the truth shall never prosper. 117 Hence, [O believer,] say: "O my Sustainer! Grant [me] forgiveness and bestow Thy mercy [upon me]: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!" 118
