The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Blessed be He Who sent down the criterion (of right and wrong, i.e. this Quran) to His slave (Muhammad SAW) that he may be a warner to the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 1 He to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, who has neither begotten a son nor has He a partner in His kingdom, (who) created everything and determined its exact measure. 2 And they have taken beside Him gods creating not aught and are themselves created, owning for themselves neither hurt nor benefit, and owning not death nor life nor resurrection. 3 Those who disbelieve say: This is naught but a lie that he hath invented, and other folk have helped him with it, so that they have produced a slander and a lie. 4 And they say: "These are fables of antiquity he has invented, which are dictated to him morning and evening." 5 Say to them, "It has been revealed by Him who knows every secret that is in the heavens and on the earth. Truly, He is most forgiving and most merciful." 6 But they say: "What sort of prophet is this who eats food and walks the market places? Why was no angel sent to him to act as admonisher with him? 7 Or (why is not) treasure thrown down unto him, or why hath he not a paradise from whence to eat? And the evil-doers say: Ye are but following a man bewitched. 8 Behold how they propound similitudes for thee! so they have strayed and cannot find a way. 9
