Hast thou not seen how thy Lord hath spread the shade - And if He willed He could have made it still - then We have made the sun its pilot; 45 Then We take it to Ourselves, taking little by little. 46 It is He who has appointed the night a mantle for you and sleep for a rest. The day He has appointed for rising. 47 And He it is Who sendeth the winds, glad tidings heralding His mercy, and We send down purifying water from the sky, 48 To quicken a region that was dead, and to give it as drink to animals We have created and to men in plenty. 49 And We distribute it among them in various ways that they may ponder and reflect; yet most men disdain everything but denial and thanklessness. 50 Had it been Our Will, We could have sent a warner to every centre of population. 51 So do not obey the unbelievers, but struggle mightily with it (the Koran). 52 ۞ It was He who let forth the two seas, this one is palatably sweet and this salt, a bitter taste, and He set a barrier between them, and a refuge which is forbidden. 53 And He it is who out of this [very] water has created man, and has endowed him with [the consciousness of] descent and marriage-tie: for thy Sustainer is ever infinite in His power. 54 Yet they (the unbelievers) worship, other than Allah, that which can neither benefit nor harm them. Surely, the unbeliever is ever a partisan against his Lord. 55 O Muhammad, We have sent you only to proclaim good tidings and to give warning. 56 Tell them: "I do not ask any recompense of you for this other than (urging) whoever likes may take the way to his Lord." 57 O Muhammad trust in that Allah Who is Ever-Living and will never die' Glorify Him with His praise, for He alone is sufficient to be aware of the sins of His servants. 58 In six days He created the earth and the heavens and all that is between them; then He established Himself on the "Throne" (of the Kingdom of the uriverse). (He is) the Merciful: as to His Glory, ask the one who knows. 59 When you say to them: "Bow before Ar-Rahman," they say: "What is Ar-Rahman? Should we adore whoever you ask us to?" And their aversion increases further. ۩ 60
