Blessed is He Who made the constellations in the heavens and made therein a lamp and a shining moon. 61 And it is He Who created the alternation of the night and day for one who wishes to remember or intends to give thanks. 62 And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness. 63 and who remember their Sustainer far into the night, prostrating themselves and standing; 64 Who say: 'Our Lord, turn from us the punishment of Gehenna, for its punishment is the most terrible; 65 Lo! it is wretched as abode and station; 66 And they who when they spend, are neither extravagant nor parsimonious, and (keep) between these the just mean. 67 Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred except for just cause, nor commit fornication; - and any that does this (not only) meets punishment. 68 The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace; 69 Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful. 70 and seeing that he who repents and [thenceforth] does what is right has truly turned unto God by [this very act of] repentance. 71 And those who do not bear false witness, and when they pass by frivolity, they pass by with dignity; 72 and who when they are reminded of the verses of their Lord, they do not fall down deaf and blind. 73 and who pray "O our Sustainer! Grant that our spouses and our offspring be a joy to our eyes, and cause us to be foremost among those who are conscious of Thee!" 74 Those shall be recompensed with the highest rank for their patience. There they shall receive a greeting, and peace! 75 They will live therein forever, the best abode and place of rest. 76 Say, "What would my Lord care for you, if you do not call on Him. Because you have indeed rejected the truth and His punishment is bound to overtake you. 77
