The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 These are the verses of the Book that makes things clear. 2 Perhaps, [O Muhammad], you would kill yourself with grief that they will not be believers. 3 If We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign for which their necks would remain humbled. 4 A fresh remembrance has never come to them from the Merciful, except they turn away from it. 5 So they have surely belied; wherefore anon there shall come unto them the truth of that whereat they were wont to mock. 6 Do they not look at the earth,- how many noble things of all kinds We have produced therein? 7 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 8 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
