The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. Mim. 1 These are the verses of the illustrious Book. 2 It may be that thou tormentest thyself (O Muhammad) because they believe not. 3 Had We wanted, We would have sent them a miracle from the sky to make their heads hang down in submission. 4 A fresh remembrance has never come to them from the Merciful, except they turn away from it. 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 Do they not look at the earth, how We caused a variety of fine vegetation to grow from it (in abundance)? 7 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 8 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
