The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TaSeenMeem. 1 These are the verses of the illustrious Book. 2 Perhaps you will kill yourself with grief because they do not believe. 3 If (such) were Our Will, We could send down to them from the sky a Sign, to which they would bend their necks in humility. 4 Whenever a new message comes to them from the Beneficent God, they turn away from it. 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 Have they not seen the earth, that how many honourable pairs We have created in it? 7 Surely in this there is a sign, yet most of them would not believe: 8 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
