۞ We revealed to Moses: "Set forth with My servants by night for you will be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to (all) the Cities, 53 (Proclaiming): "Surely they are a small band (of fugitives). 54 they have enraged us, 55 “And indeed we are an alert army.” 56 Thus did We take them away from gardens and watersprings, 57 Treasures, and every kind of honourable position; 58 Thus it was, but We made the Children of Israel inheritors of such things. 59 So the Firaun’s people followed them at sunrise. 60 and, when the two hosts sighted each other, the companions of Moses said, 'We are overtaken!' 61 (Moses) said: "By no means! my Lord is with me! Soon will He guide me!" 62 Then We bade Moses strike the sea with his staff. And it parted, and each part was like a huge mountain. 63 And We made the other party approach thither. 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, every one; 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 67 And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
