And recite to them the story of Ibrahim (Abraham). 69 When he said to his father and his people: What do you worship? 70 They said: We worship idols, so we shall be their votaries. 71 He said: "Do they hear you, when you call (on them)? 72 Or do they profit you or cause you harm? 73 They said: nay; but we found our fathers doing in this wise. 74 He said: "Do ye then see whom ye have been worshipping,- 75 "Ye and your fathers before you?- 76 “They are all my enemies, except the Lord Of The Creation.” 77 who created me; and He guides me, 78 It is He who gives me food and drink 79 "And when I am ill, it is He Who cures me; 80 And Who causeth me to die, then giveth me life (again), 81 "And who, I hope, will forgive me my faults on the day of Judgment. 82 O Lord, give me wisdom and admit me among the righteous, 83 and appoint me a tongue of truthfulness among the others. 84 and place me amongst the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss. 85 “And forgive my father* he is indeed astray.” (His paternal uncle) 86 "And let me not be in disgrace on the Day when (men) will be raised up;- 87 “The day when neither wealth will benefit nor will sons.” 88 Except him who brings to Allah a clean heart [clean from Shirk (polytheism) and Nifaq (hypocrisy)]. 89 And the Garden shall be brought nigh to the God-fearing. 90 And hell will be revealed for the astray. 91 It will be said to them: 'Where is that you worshipped, 92 "Instead of Allah? Can they help you or (even) help themselves?" 93 The idol worshippers, the idols, the rebellious ones, 94 And the hosts of Iblis all together. 95 They shall say while they contend therein: 96 "By God, we were most obviously astray 97 when we assigned to you a position equal to that of the Lord of the Universe. 98 “And none misled us but the guilty.” 99 So now we have no intercessors 100 Nor any loving friend. 101 Would that we had a second chance [in life,] so that we could be among the believers!" 102 Verily! In this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 103 surely, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 104

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
