The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord; 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
