Alshu'araa' 6 of 11
The nation of Noah, belied their Messengers. 105 Behold, their brother Noah said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 106 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 107 so fear Allah, and obey me. 108 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Should we place our trust in you when only the condemned follow you?" 111 He said: I have no knowledge of that which they have been Working. 112 It is only for my Lord to take account of them. Would that you made use of your understanding! 113 "And I am not going to drive away the believers. 114 “I am not but clearly a Herald of Warning.” 115 They said: "O Noah! If you do not desist, you will certainly become one of the accursed." 116 He said: My Lord! Surely my people give me the lie! 117 So pass a clear judgement between me and them and rescue me and the believers with me." 118 Thereafter We rescued him and those who were with him in the laden Ark 119 And drowned the rest of them. 120 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
