The people of Lut belied the sent ones. 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 164 "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? You are a people who transgress all bounds." 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 He said, "I certainly hate what you practice. 168 'My Lord, save me and my people from that they are doing' 169 Thereupon We saved him and all his household 170 Except an old woman among those who remained behind. 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. 173 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
