The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 162 so fear you God, and obey you me. 163 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 164 Do you approach males among the worlds 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 They said, "Lot, if you do not give up preaching, you will certainly be expelled (from this town)". 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 My Lord, save me and my family from their evil doings." 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 We then destroyed the others. 172 and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who had been warned. 173 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
