The people of Lot denied the messengers 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear God? 161 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, 165 leaving your wives that your Lord created for you? Nay, but you are a people of transgressors. 166 They said, "If you do not desist, Lot, you will surely be banished." 167 He said, "I certainly hate what you practice. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds." 169 We saved him and all of his family 170 save an old woman among those that tarried; 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 175
