The people of Lut belied the sent ones. 160 when their brother Lot said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 161 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 164 What, do you come to the males of the world, 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you of your wives? Nay, you are a people exceeding limits. 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 He said: verily I am of those who abhor your work. 168 "My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do." 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind. 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Surely, in that there is a sign. Yet most of them do not believe. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
