The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: "Will you not take heed? 177 I am for you an honest Messenger. 178 Have fear of God and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, do not be among the cheats, 181 And weigh with a balance straight. 182 “And do not give the people their goods diminished, and do not roam the earth causing turmoil.” 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 Therefore cause a portion of the heaven to come down upon us, if you are one of the truthful. 187 He said, 'My Lord knows very well what you are doing.' 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 190 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
