The dwellers of Al-Aiyka [near Madyan (Midian)] belied the Messengers. 176 When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 177 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 178 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 179 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. 181 And weigh with a balance straight. 182 "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief. 183 And guard against (the punishment of) Him who created you and the former nations. 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 Let a part of the sky fall on us if what you say is true". 187 He said: 'My Lord knows what you are doing' 188 And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. 189 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 190 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
