The Companions of the Wood rejected the messengers. 176 When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ "Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others). 181 And weigh with an even balance. 182 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 Said they: "Thou art but one of the bewitched, 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 Let a part of the sky fall on us if what you say is true". 187 He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” 188 They rejected him, and then had to suffer the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom. That was indeed the punishment of an awful day. 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
