The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 when their brother Shu'ayb said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 177 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 178 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 179 my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 Weigh on an even balance. 182 "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief. 183 And keep your duty unto Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old. 184 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 185 And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. 186 But in case you are speaking the truth, then make a segment of the sky to fall upon us." 187 He said, "My Lord knows all that you do." 188 But they denied him, so there came on them the retribution of the day of gloom. Lo! it was the retribution of an awful day. 189 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 190 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 191
