The dwellers of Al-Aiyka [near Madyan (Midian)] belied the Messengers. 176 Recall, when Shuayb said to them: "Have you no fear? 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 Have fear of God and obey me. 179 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. 183 Have fear of the One who has created you and the generations that lived before you." 184 Said they: "Thou art but one of the bewitched, 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful." 187 He said, "My Lord has full knowledge of all your actions." 188 And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. 189 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 190 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 191
