And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; 193 upon thy heart, that thou mayest be one of the warners, 194 In the plain Arabic language. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And had We revealed it unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 and had he recited it unto them [in his own tongue,] they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. 200 they shall not believe in it until they see the painful punishment 201 But the (Penalty) will come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Do you not see that even if We give them respite for years 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished. 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey you say to them: "I am quit of what you do." 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 Who sees you when you arise 218 and when you turn among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They descend on every sinful, false one. 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Have you not seen them wandering and bewildered in every valley 225 And that they say that which they do not do, 226 except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong? Soon will the wrong-doers know the end that they shall reach. 227
