And most surely this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 And lo! it is in the Scriptures of the men of old. 196 Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 They will say, "Can we be granted any respite?" 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 and reminded: for, never do We wrong [anyone]. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 indeed they are debarred from overhearing it. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 And warn [whomever thou canst reach, beginning with] thy kinsfolk, 214 and be meek to the believers who follow you. 215 And if they disobey thee, say thou: verily I am quit of that which ye work. 216 And put your trust in Him Who is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate, 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, the erring follow them. 224 hast thou not seen how they wander in every valley 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
