This surely is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe: 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic Books of former peoples. 196 Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 they will not believe in it until they see the grievous punishment. 201 So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 Would they (now) hasten on Our doom? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 Then there comes to them that with which they are threatened, 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 And We destroyed no township but it had its warners 208 By way of reminder; and We never are unjust. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 for, neither does it suit their ends, nor is it in their power [to impart it to man]: 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you stand up. 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 For it is He Who heareth and knoweth all things. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They descend upon every sinful liar. 222 on those who whisper hearsay in the ears of people; and most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, the erring follow them. 224 Observest thou not, that they wander about every vale. 225 and that they [so often] say what they do not do [or feel]? 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
