Those who do not believe, say: "When we and our fathers have turned to dust, how shall we be raised again? 67 Indeed we and our fathers had been promised this before. It is nothing but the earlier people's lore." 68 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." 69 Do not grieve over them, nor feel distressed at their schemes. 70 Yet they say: "When will this promise come to pass? (Tell Us) if you speak the truth." 71 Say: It may be that a part of that which ye would hasten on is close behind you. 72 And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude." 73 Lo! thy Lord knoweth surely all that their bosoms hide, and all that they proclaim. 74 There is not a thing hidden in the heaven and earth except that it is in a Clear Book. 75 Verily this Qur'an doth explain to the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree. 76 it is a guidance, and a mercy unto the believers. 77 And verily thine Lord shall decide between them with His judgment, and He is the Mighty, the Knowing. 78 Therefore put your trust in Allah, for you are upon a clear truth. 79 Verily thou canst not make the dead hear, nor canst thou make the deaf hear the call when they flee turning their backs. 80 Nor canst thou be a guide to the blind, (to prevent them) from straying: only those wilt thou get to listen who believe in Our Signs, and they will bow in Islam. 81 ۞ When the Word falls on them, We shall bring forth for them out of the earth a beast that shall speak unto them: 'Mankind had no faith in Our signs.' 82
