The Romans (Al-Room)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 The Romans have been defeated 2 In a land close by; but they, (even) after (this) defeat of theirs, will soon be victorious- 3 in a few years. All power belongs to Allah both before and after. On that day will the believers rejoice 4 He helps whomever He wants. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 5 This is Allah's promise and He does not go back on His promise. But most people do not know. 6 they know but the outer surface of this world's life, whereas of the ultimate things they are utterly unaware. 7 Do they not reflect in their own minds? Not but for just ends and for a term appointed, did Allah create the heavens and the earth, and all between them: yet are there truly many among men who deny the meeting with their Lord (at the Resurrection)! 8 Have they not travelled through the earth that they may observe what was the end of their predecessors who were far mightier and tilled the land and built upon it more than these have ever built? And Allah's Messengers came to them with Clear Signs. It was not Allah Who wronged them, but it is they who wronged themselves. 9 Then the end of those who did evil was the worst [consequence] because they denied the signs of Allah and used to ridicule them. 10

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
